Google Sign-In for 2Key
2Key offers Google Sign-In as an optional way to create and access your 2Key account faster and more securely.
Google Sign-In is used only for authentication and account access.
What is 2Key?
2Key is an AI desktop assistant for Windows and macOS that helps you work faster with text directly on your computer. It assists with writing, rewriting, translating and improving text, and offers AI-powered input features such as dictation and quick text actions, always just a keystroke away, in whatever application you are working in.
A 2Key account connects the desktop app with your plan and settings. You can create and manage this account on our website, and this is where Google Sign-In comes in.
Why does 2Key use Google Sign-In?
Google Sign-In is one of the ways you can sign up for 2Key or log in to your existing 2Key account. It is entirely optional: you can always use email and password instead.
- You can use it to create a new 2Key account or log in to an existing one.
- It simplifies authentication: no extra password to remember.
- It is not required: email registration works just as well.
- 2Key does not use Google Sign-In to access Gmail, Drive, Calendar or any other Google product data.
What Google data does 2Key access?
When you sign in with Google, we only receive the basic account information that Google provides and that you approve on the Google consent screen:
Email address
Creates your 2Key account and identifies you when you log in.
Name
Used as the display name of your 2Key account.
Profile picture (if provided by Google)
May be shown as your account avatar. Nothing more.
This information is used exclusively for creating your 2Key account, identifying you during login, securing access to your account and managing account-related communication. We do not request any additional Google permissions or scopes.
What 2Key does not access
Signing in with Google does not give 2Key access to your Google services or their content. 2Key does not access:
- Your Gmail inbox or emails
- Your Google Drive files
- Your Google Calendar events
- Your Google Photos
- Any other private Google product data
